Dear Hartman Team Members,
Let me start by saying thank you to each of you for all your hard work and dedication to hitting our goals each and every month. We have something special to celebrate this month after hitting record numbers!
Our new leasing activity was over 117,000 square feet in August, marking an all-time company record high. We are continuing to push in an extremely positive direction, as it looks like we will lease more than that in September! We surpassed our occupancy goal, with 81.74% in August, and have the pursuit of our 85% occupancy goal in our sights by the end of the year. Congratulations to Ami Figg for her outstanding performance in increasing her portfolio’s occupancy by 5.24% this month!
Overall, for August, our FFO Yield is 8.4% versus the 10.5% budgeted.
Coming up in a few weeks at the end of October, we will be Vision Mapping at our quarterly meeting. I ask each of you to take this time to think about your personal and professional goals for 2022. The Vision Mapping process is designed to help you create a plan to visualize your future growth at Hartman and how we, as a company, can help you achieve those goals. While thinking about and praying for direction on your vision, keep in mind that the company’s vision is to grow to $2bn in assets by 2025. Ask yourself how to contribute to that vision. I would also encourage you to keep in mind that our life coach will be working with each team member to fulfill their personal visions.
I was rereading The One Thing by Gary Keller, and I encourage everyone to review this book before your vision mapping as it will help you evaluate the ONE thing to help take you to the next level in your career and personal life.
The book gives examples to examine your professional life to help you push yourself to the next level, such as “What is the ONE thing I can do this month to produce better work?” This is to help you think about the possibilities and help you find what will matter most to push the needle in a positive trajectory.
In closing, I ask you to prepare for vision mapping through reflection of this past year and find insight for 2022 through prayer and the word. I want to encourage each of you to utilize the company’s resources to assist you, such as our life coaching and our discipleship programs. It warms my heart to see the results of what you are achieving every day. I look forward to spending time with you all in a few weeks at our meeting.
